Reserve Bank of New Zealand – Te Pūtea Matua
NZBA is broadly supportive of RBNZ’s general approach to implementation. Key topics in our submission include:
- We encourage RBNZ to continue to develop its thinking around timing for implementation
- Proposals for variable suspension capability should be weighed against resource requirements for implementation
- Investors (including international investors) should be considered as a key part of the audience for RBNZ’s crisis management policies, guidance and consultation materials
- The approach to branch banks should be carefully considered to ensure efficiency and practicality.
