We support, in principle, a levy-funded anti-money laundering / countering financing of terrorism regime that is well resourced, intelligence-led, and supports a genuinely risk-based approach. However, we expect the Ministry of Justice to demonstrate to levy payers that the fees are fair and reasonable, acknowledging that law enforcement is primarily a matter of public good.
