Discussion Document: Enhancing the cyber security of New Zealand’s critical infrastructure system

NZBA is supportive of the proposal’s focus on lifting cyber resilience and providing clearer guidance across critical infrastructure and essential services.  We support a principles- and risk-based approach, with clear thresholds and proportionality, and consider any new standards will need to align with existing requirements to avoid risk of duplication, inconsistent obligations, or misaligned reporting thresholds and timeframes.
